Global location analytics and GIS software provider, Esri has partnered with GeoDecisions to help insurance companies improve their customers service during emergencies.
The companies will provide integrated solutions based on the ArcGIS platform that will enable insurers to efficiently track events, such as inclement weather and other natural disasters.
Esri insurance industry manager Mark McCoy said, "The solutions we are bringing to market together will help insurers make better decisions and help businesses and the community rebuild faster after an event."
GeoDecisions commercial solutions director Brian Smith added, "GIS and location analytics help insurance companies understand this information and apply it as a real competitive advantage."
The server-based solution, ArcGIS is designed to assist insurance organizations in catastrophe analysis, exposure modeling, as well as claims management.
The companies will also be able to use a map-based interface to view their up-to-date portfolios and location of pending weather systems.
