UK-based Marco plans to launch Yield Control Waste and Predictive Packaging Modules at the Fruit Logistica Show in Berlin.
Both the modules will complement the company's Yield Control Module (YCM) which are claimed to reduce over-pack/giveaway, freshplaza.com reported.
According to the company, the YCM concept has been designed to offer complete raw material usage data in order to ensure accountability throughout large pack-houses.
It provides weight of product on the packing lines at the pre-pack area as well as weight of the pack while processed as finished product to determine the mass balance.
The integration of Predictive Packaging Module within the YCM will link the pack-house with the pre-pack/field environment and bring new levels of packing line management and control, the company added.
Through colored light system, it provides a direct, visual feed back from the packing lines to help in making adjustment in pre-pack area.
