Canada-based Aurora Importing & Distributing has recalled Aurora brand Corn Gnocchi and Rice Gnocchi as they may contain gluten that is not mentioned on the label.
The company warned that people with sensitivities to gluten should not consume the recalled products with UPC numbers 061659 018112 and 061659 017924, respectively.
The recalled products have been sold in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba. However, the company anticipates that the products have also been sold in other provinces.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued the food recall warning on 9 December 2013 as part of its food safety investigation.
Meanwhile, CFIA is conducting a food safety probe that may lead to the recall of other products. So far, one reaction associated with the consumption of these products was reported.
