Scholle Packaging has announced the acquisition of controlling interest in the assets of the Brazilian packaging manufacturer Flexpack.
According to Scholle, Flexpack will continue to design, manufacture, and provide flexible packaging that feature the company's safe, natural, economic and sustainable key product traits.
Scholle Packaging New Ventures vice president Dr Richard Heath said growth in performance packaging solutions is a key part of the company's business strategy.
"Stand-up pouch solutions complement our core bag-in-box product offering very well, especially in the growing Latin American market, which is why Flexpack is such a good fit for us," Heath said.
The product line and manufacturing competencies of Flexpack are said to benefit from Scholle's aseptic processing and fitment engineering experience.
Flexpack designs, manufactures and provides stand-up pouch packaging, barrier films, and performance packaging for the Latin American market.
