As of 0:00 on October 13, Fulong-Fengxian, Jinping-Sunan, Tianzhong and Yibin-Jinhua UHV DC lines have transmitted 100.15TWh of electricity to East and Central China with the highest capacity of 26.6GW. They strongly supported the intensive development of energy resources in the West and safe and efficient large-scale export, ensured reliable electricity supply in the East and Central China, effectively reduced air pollutant emissions and eased the pressure on resources and environment in developed regions.
During the peak summer this year, Fulong-Fengxian, Jinping-Sunan, and Yibin-Jinhua UHV DC lines delivered over 80% of Sichuan hydropower, accounting for 34%, 12% and 17% of the peak load in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang separately, nearly two-thirds of the imported electricity in East China. Tianzhong UHV DC sent an average of 100GWh per day for the first time with heavy load operation, accounting for 99% of the exported electricity from Xinjiang, among which wind power and other new energy resources occupied 10%.
SGCC Grid Operation Company vigorously promoted standard operation and maintenance, lean equipment management and intelligent technology, to enhance the overall operation of UHV converter stations. This year, the company carefully organized technological transformation and modification projects, strengthened online monitoring and live test of equipment, carried out safety inspection and defect remediation, and steadily improved the condition of each UHV converter station.
