Kocaeli-based Turkish steel wire and rope producer Celik Halat ve Tel Sanayii Inc. has announced its financial results for 2012.
In 2012, Celik Halat ve Tel Sanayii achiev
ed a net profit of TRY 389,900 ($241,233), compared to a net loss of TRY 2.84 million in the previous year. The sales revenues of the company increased to TRY 121.2 million ($66.6 million), down 3.4 percent year on year. On the other hand, the producer recorded an operating profit of TRY 2.23 million ($1.22 million) in the given year, down from TRY 2.64 million in 2011.
During 2012, Celik Halat ve Tel Sanayii produced 51,342 metric tons of steel products, decreasing by just 0.3 percent year on year.
In the given period, Celik Halat ve Tel Sanayii's steel rope output totaled 9,535 metric tons, rising by 8.08 percent, its galvanized wire production amounted to 1,394 metric tons, up 9.16 percent, spring wire output increased by 23.4 percent to 6,893 metric tons, its bead wire production decreased by 46.13 percent to 6,363 metric tons, the company's single strand rope output totaled 465 metric tons, down 77.5 percent, while its pre-stressed wire strand production totaled 26,692 metric tons, increasing by 23.4 percent, all compared to 2011.
In 2012, product sales of Celik Halat ve Tel Sanayi increased by 2.08 percent year on year to 52,030 metric tons.
