Surrey County Council has issued a tender worth betweenGBP10m andGBP200m for a new framework for the use of all local government and public sector bodies in the South East of England.
The framework will be divided into three lots to meet the needs of a wide range of customers,the Official Journal of the European Union tender said.

"The framework will provide the buyers with an opportunity to capital purchase hardware or procure a managed service provision,"the tender reads.
Capital purchases are fixed and subject to depreciation over the life of the purchase.
The framework is designed to respond to recent changes in the public sector,which have seen an increasing amount of shared services,co-locating and closer links between local authorities,police and fire services.The tender said that the"newly emerging"situation of the NHS and local authorities crossing over was another reason for the framework design.
"Its scope is intended to cover simple e-procurement and catalogue purchases of printer equipment and consumables,through to a fully managed solution,offering the widest range of complementary services,where savings are easily measured and transparently delivered,"it said.
The first lot is for the provision of products and services,including individual devices;lot two is for the provision of managed document services;and lot three is for the provision of a full range of printer and photocopier consumable products.
