Canada-based Mitchell Agencies/Concord National is voluntarily recalling Golden Sun brand Seedless Raisins as it may contain sulphites that is not mentioned on the label, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
The product subject to the recall is 250g Golden Sun Seedless Raisins bearing UPC code 0 74917 00037 8 with Best Before date of 12 November 2014.
The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall, which is classified as Class 1 health hazard.
No illnesses have been reported associated with the recall.
Consumption of the recalled product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in people allergic or sensitive to sulphites.
