American snack maker Snyder's-Lance has completed $10m upgrade to its Cape Cod Potato Chips production facility in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
Work under the improvements included the installation of new cooking kettles and energy-saving upgrades to the mechanical systems at the plant.
As part of the investment, construction on a new wastewater pretreatment plant is currently underway which is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Snyder's-Lance Manufacturing senior vice president Pat McInerney said: "Our Hyannis plant has a long history in this community, and it's very important that we continue to invest in and improve the plant's operations.
"Our focus is to partner with the Hyannis community to identify ways we can continue to be a good corporate citizen."
The Hyannis facility has also partnered with a local solar farm to purchase solar credits.
