Mehsana District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union, known as the Doodhsagar Dairy will launch packaged milk branded as ‘Sagar Moti’ in new five-layered pouches which will keep the milk fresh for three months even when stored at room temperature.
In this regard, the Indian dairy invested Rs100m ($2m) to install new imported packaging machinery. The pouch packaging will eliminate refrigeration costs and will be safer and cheaper to transport, deliver and store, thehindubusinessline.com reported.

The pouch packaging will soon be introduced in Delhi, National Capital Region (NCR) and Manesar in Haryana.
Doodhsagar currently procures an average 190,000,0l of milk each day and markets its product under the common brand name of 'Amul' outside the Indian state of Gujarat.
