According to a report in the December issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the official medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), a new reverse liposuction procedure enables surgeons to remove and replace implants used for breast augmentation with the patient’s own fat cells.
The technique, called simultaneous implant exchange with fat (SIEF) offers women a new alternative when having implants from a breast augmentation removed.
“We are excited about the new options for women undergoing breast implant removal,” said Dawn Cover, president of Nouvelle Inc. “We’ve tailored our bra line to help women as they heal from this latest technique, as well as procedures such as breast augmentation with implants, breast reduction, mastectomy, and mastopexy.”
Nouvelle offers the full range of surgical bras designed to protect and stabilize breasts following surgical procedures such as SIEF, breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty), breast lift (mastopexy), breast implants (augmentation mammaplasty), mastectomy, and breast reconstruction following mastectomy.
Each bra is crafted to be worn 24 hours a day; seven days a week to ensure surgical sites, stitches, drains, etc. are comfortably protected and secure:
BRA BANDS
Breast lift and augmentation patients appreciate the versatility of Nouvelle’s bra bands. These durable, flexible cotton bands provide superior comfort, support and stability following breast surgery. May be worn in addition to regular bras without wires.
BRAS WITH CUPS
Nouvelle’s exclusive bra collection merges soothing comfort with superior compression for patients recovering from breast surgery. Our beautifully-styled post-surgical bras are recommended for enhanced healing results following most breast procedures, including breast implantation (augmentation mammaplasty), breast lift (mastopexy), and mastectomies. Handcrafted and wire-free, each design ensures proper compression and stabilization to help reduce swelling and shorten recovery time.
BRAS WITHOUT CUPS
Nouvelle’s surgical support bra line offers premium levels of compression and protection for patients following breast surgery. Designed with flat fronts without cups, these garments are ideal for use immediately after breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty), breast augmentation (augmentation mammaplasty), breast lift (mastopexy), lumpectomy, and breast reconstruction following mastectomy. Perfect for recovery when strong lateral and vertical support is needed.
BRAS WITH SLEEVES
Nouvelle’s bras with sleeves are ideal for velvety soft support and maximum compression during recovery from arm surgery (brachioplasty), breast augmentation, and liposuction. Compression bras with sleeves also help prevent extreme, hypertrophic scarring in the event of severe, skin damaging burns. Excellent relief for symptoms associated with lymphedema, such as fluid retention and tissue swelling.
COTTON BRAS
Nouvelle’s signature cotton bra collection was created in an effort to produce a compression product that not only feels good next to delicate surgical areas, but breathes and flexes with the patient’s body thanks to a unique cotton/nylon blend.
Nouvelle manufactures and distributes post-surgical compression wear, body shaping garments, and scar care products worldwide from its facility in Virginia Beach, VA.
