National Instruments co-founder and CEO Dr.James Truchard will be joined by Dr.Robert Mullins,co-founder and trustee of the Raspberry Pi Foundation at NIDays 2012,the annual Graphical System Design conference which takes place in London next month.
Mullins will describe the progress of Raspberry Pi and the challenges the embedded computer platform faces.
Mullins is a Lecturer in the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow and Director of Science in Computer Science at St.John's College.
He is also a co-founder and trustee of the Raspberry Pi Foundation,a UK Charity that aims to promote the study of computer science and electronics at the school level.
The Foundation created the Raspberry Pi a low cost embedded computer platform which can be used in schools and colleges to give students practical experience of programming and embedded systems design.
Trucharda's keynote presentation to the conference will describe system design for the 21st Century.
There will be a panel discussion to debate the topic:Are New Engineering Graduates Ready for Industry?
Truchard and Mullins will be joined by other industry experts including Mike Sutton-Technical Fellow,Engine Oils,Lubrizol;Professor Martin Levesley-Director of Teaching and Learning,University of Leeds;Rhys Morgan-Head of Secretariat to Education for Engineering;and Jose Lopes-Head of Technical Excellence,Jaguar Land Rover to discuss this engineering problem.
NIDays 2012 takes place at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster,London,on Tuesday 20th November.
