DLH Declined Again in The Third Quarter by 4.4% to DKK586m.

Following declines in the first two quarters, turnover of the Danish timber retail group, Dalhoff Larsen & Horneman (DLH) declined again in the third quarter by 4.4% to DKK586m. The EBITDA dropped drastically by comparison with the previous year to DKK2m and at -DKK3m, the EBIT was in the negative zone. European turnover at DKK369m was 19% down on last year's figure and the EBIT dropped to DKK6m. In Nordic region, the most important sales area as regards turnover, there was a decline of 20% in turnover to DKK175m (and the EBIT dropped to DKK4m. In the countries consolidated in the Western Europe unit, DLH was confronted by a particularly serious decline of 26% to DKK85m. The EBIT for the region plummeted into the loss zone for the first time ever. In the central Europe & Russia sales area the decline in turnover was less drastic at -9% to DKK109m. The EBIT here was reduced to DKK5m although it remained in the profits zone. In the back to back business for hardwood and wood-based panels, which is consolidated under global sales, turnover improved by 38% to DKK217m and the EBIT increased to DKK5m.
