Bosch Packaging Technology is set to feature its new checkweighing technology, the KWE 6000, which enables managers to access production data remotely using a computer or web-enabled mobile device without the requirement of additional software.
According to the European Measurement Instrument Directive (MID), the KWE 6000 checkweigher has been designed for easy access and cleaning and meets all technical and organizational conditions required for metrological testing.
Bosch will also introduce its flexible PME 4061 mandrel wheel package maker, which has format flexibility that enables point-of-sale differentiation for the manufacturers through pack style versatility.
The PME 4061 can produce up to 100 packages per minute and ensures weight accuracy due to its inline weighing system. The machine's modular and open design facilitates quick changeovers reducing downtime, while its Clean 90 concept ensures a clean machine environment.
For products requiring more rigorous safety assurance, Bosch will introduce the new Pack 301 LD Long Dwell Flow Wrapper. The machine's revolving sealing system allows for longer sealing times compared with traditional rotary cutting heads which results in air-tight packages.
The Pack 301 LD, which can produce 150 packages per minute, is applicable for a variety of products and is particularly ideal for fresh, perishable goods where Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) is required.
Also included in the launch is Bosch's CBT Mobile maintenance tool, which helps manufacturers streamline operations on packaging lines and support production optimization. With detailed technical guidance for critical production steps, it reduces downtime and costs .
Bosch will exhibit the new products at the FachPack, in Nuremberg, Germany, to be held from 25 to 27 September 2012.
