Tarkett Increased Its Turnover by 11% to €2.318bn

In the 2012 financial year the flooring group Tarkett increased its turnover by 11% to €2.318bn. Organic growth (+4.6%), acquisitions (+3.6%) and favourable exchange rate influences (+2.8%) constituted some of the reasons for the somewhat stronger increase than the year before. Organic growth was recorded particularly in the emerging markets in east Europe, South America and Asia, where an increase of 12% was achieved. In China it was possible to double the turnover. Tarkett's turnover in North America increased by 5%, in keeping with the continuing economic recovery in the USA. In Europe, by contrast, Tarkett was confronted by a 1% decline in turnover. Good business developments in Germany and Great Britain contrasted with deteriorations in France and southern Europe.
