The Toy Firm Teams with Marvel and 3dplusme to Give Kids The Chance to Become Iron Man

The toy firm teams with Marvel and 3DPlusMe to give kids the chance to become Iron Man or Captain America.

Hasbro is offering kids the chance to step in to the role of their favourite superhero and become their own action figure.

The Super Awesome Me initiative sees the toy firm partner with Marvel, Walmart and 3D printing firm, 3DPlusMe to launch a new unique, in-store experience.

According to Hasbro’s chief marketing officer, John Frascotti, kids will now be able to create a one of a kind action figure of Iron Man or Captain American, featuring their very own likeness.

“By partnering with Walmart, Disney and 3DPlusMe, we are delivering to consumers a totally personalised product experience,” said Frascotti.

Launching across ten Walmart stores, the Super Awesome Me experience allows fans to scan their features in a 3D face scanner, which will then be transferred to the 12 inch Iron Man or Captain America action figure.

The action figures will retail at $45 at participating stores.

“Our Marvel super Hero September campaign encourages consumers to Power Up Like a super Hero and through the innovation of 3D printing, Super Awesome Me allows them to become one of two popular Marvel Super Heroes,” said Isabella Lahoud, vice president of licensing for Marvel at Disney Consumer Products.

“We are thrilled to team with Hasbro along with 3DPlusMe to offer this cutting edge and exclusive opportunity to fans of all ages.”
