Certification company SGS has acquired two automotive services firms Commercial Aging Services (CAS) and Advanced Testing and Engineering (ATE).
SGS is a testing, verification and certification company. The company aims to diversify and strengthen its automotive services in North America with the acquisition of ATE and CAS.
Commercial Aging Services deals with commercializing C-FOCAS technology, a patented system featuring a gasoline-fueled burner with an integrated, computerized control system
The system can run gasoline, natural gas, or propane fuel and accurately inject oil or metered poison to stimulate engine oil consumption.
Advanced Testing and Engineering (ATE) provides independent fatigue durability testing laboratory, suspension and emission systems and specializes in exhaust.
SGS CEO Chris Kirk said: "Combined with ETC, which we acquired in 2011, ATE and CAS expand and further diversify our vehicle and engine testing services in North America."
