Porsche has gone black for its sports cars 911 Carrera and Boxster, bringing out a special series involving paintwork and interior in the darkest shade.
Christened 'the Black Edition', the models flaunt Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation module, automatically dimming rear-view mirrors, rain sensor, cruise control and sport design steering wheel.
They carry with them price tags ranging from €59,000 to €105,500.
The 911 Carrera Black Edition draws from its basic model powered by a 3.4 litre flat engine generating 257 kW.
It comes in coupe and convertible versions with options for rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. The 20-inch 911 Turbo wheels and the LED headlights including the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) are also featured.
The all-black sophistication is not without the sports seats, Bose Surround Sound System, telephone module and a reversing camera for assistance during parking.
The Boxster Black Edition has a 2.7 litre flat engine with 195 kW.
Right from the soft top and rollover protection bar, black remains conspicuous. Its two-zone air conditioning makes the occupants comfortable while belting along the road. The wind deflector prevents undesirable turbulence when the soft top is down.
Sound Package Plus is a plus for enthusiasts.
Besides, the 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels and the bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) add sheen to the new edition.
