Instant coffee brand Nescafé has announced the launch of a new 150g compact refill pack format for its Original, Gold Blend and Decaff products. The packs, made from a combination of aluminium foil and plastic film require less energy and water to produce.
Nescafé said the launch is part of the company's effort to reduce its impact on the environment and the new packs require 50% fewer lorries per tonne of coffee to transport them to retailers.
The new refill packs also occupy less space in shopping bags, bringing added convenience to consumers.
Nestlé UK trade communications manager Graham Walker said the new pack will inspire consumers to buy a product which has a reduced environmental footprint.
