Estonia-based Printcenter Eesti has purchased a five-colour KBA Rapida 164 press, as part of its effort to expand its manufacturing operations.
In order to enter the large-format sheetfed offset market, Printcenter Eesti has bought a five-colour KBA Rapida 164 with coater and triple delivery extension.
KBA has designed Rapida 164 press for the production of POS displays.
Printcenter Eesti has been already operating medium-format Rapida sheetfed offset presses, since many years.
It features an extra package for handling microflute and solid board,, which is raised by 210mm (8.26in). It has been optimised for thick substrates and small jobs.
Rapida 164 also features DriveTronic SIS sidelay-free infeed, fully automatic plate changers, and EasyClean ink ducts with non-stick coating for fast cleaning when changing inks.
The press includes CleanTronic Synchro permitting simultaneous washing processes, as well as height-adjustable nonstop roller facility.
In addition, the press includes VariDryBLUE drying systems that enables short make ready times and ErgoTronic ColorControl for quality.
KBA-Sheetfed sales director Sven Strzelczyk said: “Printcenter has come back to KBA as the owner sees that the Rapida has always been the most reliable press in his printing plant.
“It is great that a further KBA sheetfed offset press is in operation in the Baltic area.”
