Teleflex Incorporated has entered into an agreement to distribute Medline Industries' Rusch brand of specialty urological products, including Foley and intermittent catheters, as well as specialty items for operative urology and endourology, throughout the US.
Medline's specialty catheters allow access to the bladder and ureters for diagnostic testing and surgical procedures as well as provide users easier urethral bladder access and help manage direct kidney drainage.
Teleflex Incorporated chairman, president and CEO Benson Smith said partnering with Medline provides the company with an opportunity to grow its urology business segment.
"This is an ideal arrangement matching our high quality urological products with Medline's world-class sales force and marketing expertise," Smith added.
Medline CEO Charlie Mills said, "Teleflex and Rüsch have a reputation for high end, high quality urological products and this agreement enables us to expand our presence in the operating room and in other health care markets with these surgical and personal preference items."
