Cortec Introduces New Protective, Corrosion Inhibiting Paper Biowrap Creped

Global corrosion control technologies provider Cortec has introduced a new protective, corrosion inhibiting paper BioWrap Creped - powered by Nano-Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibiting (VpCI).

The new environmentally safe, non-toxic paper is biodegradable and contains no nitrites, phosphates, or silicates and provides better multi-metal corrosion protection.

Claimed to be effective against environments including humidity, SO2, H2S, and galvanic corrosion from dissimilar metals, BioWrap does away with the need of a variety of papers for all the different types of metals and alloys.

BioWrap can be recycled into other types of paper products such as boxes, cardboard, and other corrugated materials and can also be repulped. Simple to use, the paper has no chemical concentrations to calculate, no chemical tanks, or application systems to maintain.

The VpCI coating on the paper vaporizes, reaching all metal surfaces and its inhibiting action forms a thin protective layer that does not modify the appearance of products or require removal prior to finishing or use.

According to the US-based company, BioWrap protective layer does not influence physical properties of sensitive electrical components, including conductivity and resistance.

The BioWrap kraft wrap can be used for single item packaging or interleaving, end closures for shipping tubes, insert strips for recessed areas in large packages.
