Butterfly Bakery Is Recalling Its Whole Grain Harvest Berry Muffins

US-based Butterfly Bakery is recalling its Whole Grain Harvest Berry Muffins as it may contain walnuts, which is not mentioned on the label.

The product subject to the recall is 14.5oz Butterfly Bakery Whole Grain Harvest Berry Muffins bearing UPC code 6 43482 60014 8. It is packed in a clear clam-shell type package.

Consumption of the recalled product may cause serious or life threatening allergic reaction in people allergic or sensitive to walnuts. This product has not been produced since 26 November 2012.

The issue was discovered after the company found that the packages of the Butterfly Bakery Whole Grain Harvest Berry Muffins were distributed in packaging that did not feature an ingredient statement.

No illnesses have been reported associated with the recall.

Consumers are advised to return the recalled product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
