Renesas Is Offering Customers of Its RX Microcontrollers for Software

Renesas Electronics is offering customers of its RX microcontrollers a free of-charge design qualification service for commercial software up to the value of €20,000.

The programme supports a range of middleware, including operating systems, TCP/IP, USB, CANopen and Profinet stacks.

In addition FAT file systems and graphical user interface packages are also available.

Qualified RX customers will be able to access these commercial software packages free of charge.

Renesas has teamed up with selected partners to provide software tools and libraries for the RX microcontrollers.

Supported by software suppliers

Partners include Segger, Micrium, TMG, HCC Embedded and Wittenstein.

"The 32-bit RX MCU family is supported by a vast online infrastructure of freely available sample code, but many customers prefer to use a commercial solution in their design," said Bernd Westhoff, RX Product Manager at Renesas Electronics Europe.

"This programme enables customers to have the peace of mind that comes from using established commercial software, and to have it free of charge," said Westhoff.
