Chery Automobile May 23 signed a cooperation agreement with the Badminton World Federation in Malaysia, becoming a strategic partner with the federation.
Chery also showed that it will build a complete car CKD assembly plant in Malaysia in the coming five years; the new facility is predicted to come into operation in 2014 and will export cars to Southeast Asia.
Chery and ALADO, a Malaysian auto dealer, signed an agreement to set up a joint venture to produce Chery cars in 2008. Chery has more than 50 chain stores and franchised outlets in Malaysia.
