Niman Ranch have added three more items—Smoked Uncured Honey Ham, Applewood Smoked Uncured Ham and Smoked Uncured Black Forest Ham—to its range of products.
Niman Ranch provides hogs that are reared by a network of over 700 independent farmers who follow humane livestock practices and sustainable agriculture. Strict animal welfare protocols are adhered to, such as no antibiotics, no gestation or farrowing crates, animals are never fed any animal by-products and are reared in deeply bedded pens or pastures while living with their natural social groups and litter mates.
The new slicing hams join beef deli items such as Uncured Corned Beef and Uncured Beef Pastrami.
These deli hams offer deli buyers the chance to present their customers top-quality genuine meat that have not been corrupted by preservatives. A reduced size offering called half ham gives delis the advantage of reducing waste and shrink.
Applewood Smoked Uncured Ham is slow smoked over real applewood and seasoned with salt and sugar to enhance the mild and slightly sweet smoke of the wood.
Smoked Uncured Honey Ham balances between sweet and smoky flavours as honey adds a touch of sweetness which is slow smoked over real applewood.
Smoked Uncured Black Forest Ham is seasoned with sugar and spices then slow smoked over real hardwood for a light smoke flavour and a signature dark exterior.
