Marchionne, CEO of FIAT - Chrysler has said that it is expected to completed the acquisition of the remaining 41.5% stake in Chrysler before the end of this year, the two companies will be merged.
Marchionne said if it agreed to buy the remaining shares of Chrysler, Fiat was expected to be fully consolidated with Chrysler in the year. At present, the Fiat hold 58.5% stake of Chrysler, the other 41.5% owned by VEBA (voluntary employee benefit association).
Previously, the biggest difference between FIAT and VEBA was the equity price. In the Geneva Motor Show, Marchionne said they may agree to VEBA's offer to reach the transactions.
