Byton is set to showcase its intelligent electric vehicle at the upcoming International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, on 7 January 2018.
The vehicle features new design and innovative human-vehicle interaction that includes a shared experience display, which replaces the traditional center console.
It allows to share the content with other passengers in the car.
The car features voice recognition, touch control, biometric identification and other physical buttons, air touch sensors, enabling front and rear passengers to control the shared experience display with hand gestures.
It also features a Life cloud platform, which will connect a driver’s or a passenger’s apps, data and devices and allows them to take full advantage of their travelling time to engage in work or entertainment.
The vehicle also features an advanced secure unlocking method that uses facial recognition cameras to recognise the driver or the passenger unlocking the door.
While, the company gave out details about the car’s technological capability, its core features such as the electric vehicle’s battery, range, top speed, torque, have not been disclosed.
Byton’s current shareholders include Harmony Auto, Auto Investments, League Automotive Technologies, Legend Capital, and industrial investment fund in Jiangsu, China, and Chengdu Group.
The company aims to create a brand headquartered in China with global reach.
Byton also has offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong to take care of external affairs, marketing, sales, design and investor relations.
