US-based Cucina Fresca Gourmet Foods has announced that it has upgraded its retail packaging for all fresh pasta offerings.
The company is updating its retail tray format for all pasta offerings to increase footprint through use of less plastic by weight and increasing shelf life by 20%.
It is done through an upgraded packaging machine, and the new design will be in retail coolers by the end of 2012.
According to the company, it has also entered into strategic partnerships with regional natural foods distributors to spread its brand awareness and reach.
It is also partnering with Co-op Partners in the upper Midwest, as well as Jane Fine Foods in British Columbia and US Foods, a national broadliner.
Cucina Fresca Gourmet Foods is a producer of natural prepared foods for retail and foodservice.
