Rexam, a global can manufacturer, has been selected by Carlsberg Denmark to produce four new can designs, celebrating Carlsberg’s sponsorship of the Barclays Premier League.
Fredericia plant, which is owned by Rexam, will produce the limited edition 33cl cans by combining two designs on parallel lines, which are mixed prior to palletizing to deliver four designs simultaneously.
The new can designs feature images of football fans in 'Barclays Premier League' strips by highlighting the brands strapline 'that premier feeling'.
Carlsberg Pilsner Denmark brand manager Rasmus Bendtsen said the company wanted a can design to communicate that it is the official beer of the Barclays Premier League.
"We looked to Rexam as we have a longstanding relationship with the company and appreciate their innovative design techniques. We are pleased with the outcome and feel it captures the excitement of the Barclays Premier League perfectly," Bendtsen added.
