GMC, a subsidiary of the American vehicle manufacturer General Motors (GM), has introduced the 2015 Sierra All Terrain HD pickup truck in the US with a four wheel drive (4WD) option.
Launched in 2500HD and 3500HD in double cab and crew cab models, the new Sierra All Terrain HD is offered with SLE or SLT trims, all of which feature 4WD along with an electronically controlled transfer case.
Sierra All Terrain HD is powered by 6L Vortec V8 engine capable of generating about 322hp (240kW) and 380lbft (515Nm) of torque.
GMC Sales and Marketing vice president Duncan Aldred said the new 2015 Sierra HD lineup helps customers tackle tough jobs more comfortably.
"Equally comfortable whether it's a night on the town or traversing a remote job site, it has all the capability that customers demand from a GMC heavy-duty truck on the job," Aldred added.
The vehicle is also available as the Z71 Off Road package with Rancho twin-tube shocks, hill descent control and a skid plate.
The new pickup truck comes with chrome surround on the grille, aluminum underbody shields and 18-inch six-spoke chrome cast-aluminum wheels, while 2500HD has twenty-inch chrome aluminum wheels and 3500HD models include outside camper mirrors with chrome cap.
Exterior features of the vehicles include LED signature headlamps, body-color bumpers, chrome mirrors covers and body side moldings as well as rearview camera system as a standard.
Technology in the vehicle includes IntelliLink, new OnStar with 4G LTE, built-in Wi-Fi hotspot and Siri Eyes Free for iPhone iOS 6 and iOS 7 users.
Additional features of the 2015 Sierra HD lineup include CornerStep rear bumper, EZ Lift and Lower tailgate, standard StabiliTrak with Trailer Sway Control, integrated cruise control, auto grade braking and diesel exhaust braking.
