Chrysler Announced Recall of 15,956 Vehicles Due to Insufficient Weld in Selected Vehicles

Chrysler has announced recall of 15,956 vehicles due to insufficient weld in selected vehicles, which could damage the vehicles chassis components.

The affected vehicles include 2014 version of Ram 1500, Jeep Cherokee and 2015 variant of Chrysler 200.

The US National Highway Traffic Safety highlighted the problem, it reported that insufficient weld could result in detachment of rear shocks which might damage chassis components like tire, or reduce the vehicles breaking power.

The damaged tire or reduced braking of the vehicle could result in crash.

The car maker will notify owners and dealers starting this month about the issue, and the respective dealers will check the rear shocks, if any fault is found then they will replace the part for free.
