US-based designer and manufacturer of plastic bag making machinery, Hudson-Sharp has unveiled its new form of flexible packaging — Rapid Close self-seal bags.
Hudson-Sharp said the new self-seal bag design and manufacturing technology will allow the company to provide a cost effective adhesive closure that can be used for a variety of flexible packaging applications.
Rapid Close, made up of a turn-key attachment designed to fit with existing unwind stands and bag machines, enables the end-user to close a bag fast on the spot and avoids sealing equipment or mechanical systems.
The self-seal packaging system has options for either permanent or reclosable sealing and has been designed to meet the needs for mailing/fulfillment, industrial products, food-service, produce and retail applications.
Hudson-Sharp was acquired in 2009 by Thiele Technologies, a Barry-Wehmiller company. It markets a broad line of plastic bag machinery, pouch making equipment, and reclosable packaging systems used in a variety of industries.
