Posco's New No.3 Finex Iron Making Plant Is Set to Start The Major Test Operations

Posco's new No.3 Finex iron making plant at its Pohang works is set to start the major test operations for its output and intends to formally commission in December as per its revised schedule. In mid-April, the company set up electric power through two lines for the plant's operation and they are continuing tests on water treatment facilities.

The No.3 Finex iron making plant was previously set to postpone from May until December among concerns about overcapacity and the health of Korean steel demand. Currently, Posco already operates two Finex plants, including one 600,000 tons per year and one 1.5 million tons per year.
