RaySearch Released Version 3.0 of RaySearch's RayStation Treatment Planning System

RaySearch Laboratories has released version 3.0 of RaySearch's RayStation treatment planning system for clinical use in the European Union, US, Japan and Australia.

RayStation allows the clinicians to monitor the impact of changes in patient geometry as the treatment advances and also allows them to adjust and reoptimide the treatment in the same system.

The new version adds tools for traditional 3D-CRT planning and also helps in planned dose delivery to any patient geometry using any combination of CT, MR, PET and 4D-CT data set.

RayStation is enhanced to support scripting using IronPython language, according to company.

The system has also been upgraded with patient modeling workspace along with the addition of new organ models to the integrated model based segmentation tool.

RaySearch CEO Johan Löf said the graphical interface and the workflow offer usability and RayStation offers support for the radiation treatments of the future such as fully adaptive, patient-optimized treatments.

"We announced the previous version of RayStation® in the beginning of this year and we are very proud that we can already release an even stronger product,'' Löf added.

RayStation 3.0 is pending regulatory approval in Canada, China, New Zealand and South Korea.
