UK-based supplier of dried fruits and nuts Whitworths, has added a new line to its snacking range.
Whitworths Fusions takes the tastiest ingredients nature has to offer, expertly sourced, and blends them together in creative new ways - from sweet and zesty, to crisp and juicy, or mellow and spicy.
The new packs will be on shelves in Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose across September, situated in either the home baking aisle or the snacking aisle.
With the adult snacking market growing 9% year-on-year, driven by double-digit growth in dried fruit and nut mixes, Whitworths Fusions were created for those seeking a healthier snack who do not want to compromise on taste or texture.
Whitworths Fusions come in three permanent variations, plus an additional limited edition variety that will be seasonal and change twice a year. At launch, the limited edition will be Chilli Nutty Cocoa-Chaos, which will sit alongside the permanent flavours: Apple Cinnamon Jumble, Bountiful Coconutty and Berryfruit Madness. The blends were created and tested with consumers, exceeding key competitor brand benchmarks
Building on the success of the Shots range, launched in 2013 and aimed at on-the-go snacking, Whitworths will invigorate the market with these convenient 90 to 110 gram bags more suited to snacking at home or at work.
The introduction of Fusions to the Whitworths portfolio comes at a time when 98% of the UK population now regularly snacks while at home, at work or at a place of study and sales of health-led snacking products are growing year on year, in line with the 11% increase in demand.
