VKR Holding Increased Its Turnover in The 2011 Financial Year by 4.5%

VKR Holding, under the umbrella of which numerous companies of the window, solar systems and air conditioning/ventilation technology sectors are grouped together, increased its turnover in the 2011 financial year by 4.5% vis à vis the preceding year to DKK17.552bn. The company considers this to be due mainly to acquisitions in the period covered by the report, but does not disclose any further details on the subject. In the key results figures, by contrast, VKR was confronted by some significant declines compared with the previous year. Thus the EBITDA dropped by 13% compared with the previous year to DKK2.693bn and the operating result (EBITA) deteriorated by 17% to DKK1.795bn. As a consequence the annual result plummeted by over 40% compared with the previous year to DKK1.040bn. The company considers the decline in the results development to be due principally to a lower profit margin as a consequence of increased costs.
