Recently on the 14th World Knowledge Forum held in Seoul, Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. stood out from more than 50 organizations and institutions to receive Asian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (Asian MAKE) Award again.
Totally 57 institutions and organizations are nominated for 2013 Asian MAKE Award, who are highly effective in knowledge management. Among which, 32 institutions and organizations are selected as the finalists for Asian MAKE Award. Through the final appraisal by a panel of global knowledge experts, 20 organizations and institutions received 2013 Asian MAKE Award. After winning 2012 Asian MAKE Award last year, Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. received the laurel again this year.
The panel believes that, the open type sustained accumulation of innovation knowledge, the individualized knowledge service and the management concept of knowledge productization of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. have unique and distinctive features, its knowledge service has successfully solved employees' demands for individualized knowledge service through the tools such as platform behaviour analysis model, post push model, etc., met the employees' demands for "piecemeal study" whenever and wherever possible, and broken the limits of conventional work and study to time and space; the tremendous and scattered knowledge in the organization are re-processed and applied as knowledge products according to the knowledge demand of corporate business activities and the knowledge demand of strategic development, realizing the shift from simple knowledge management to knowledgeable organization, which is very meaningful to form the organizational capability, and deserves the study and reference by the industry.
