Groz-Beckert is exhibiting its felting products for manufacturing hygiene and cosmetic products at the Shanghai International Nonwovens Conference & Exhibition (SINCE) to be held from May 13-15, 2015.
“Most hygiene and cosmetic products, for example cotton wool pads, are manufactured using waterjet hydroentanglement,” Groz-Beckert said in a press release which is exhibiting at booth P-20 in Hall 1.
At the fair, Groz-Beckert will be demonstrating an alternative way of producing these end products, which involves a combination of the manufacturing processes of waterjet hydroentanglement and needling.
According to the German textile accessories manufacturer, it offers a comprehensive selection of both needles and jet strips for use in applications in the hygiene and cosmetic segments.
All three designs from the jet strips range, HyTec Standard, HyTec Gebedur and HyTec D, can be used for this purpose, with all of them available in all customary sizes, hole geometries and in a range of materials.
Outstanding resistance to corrosion is a feature of even the standard material, with the material used for the HyTec D jet strip offering greater stability and even better protection during handling.
The primary feature of the Gebedur design is its special coating, which provides a resistant surface around the capillaries.
“The Groz-Beckert crown needle, whose 46 gauge fineness is unique on the market, is the right choice for needling,” the German company noted.
“The high dimensional accuracy of the barbs and their very close spacing ensures that fibres are transported extremely evenly during needling,” it explained.
