Patak's, curry pastes and spices brand owned by Associated British Foods, is recalling a batch of Patak’s Jalfrezi Cooking Sauce as certain jars may contain hard plastic material, the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) announced.
The product subject to recall is Patak's Jalfrezi Cooking Sauce of 450g featuring best before end: December 2014 and batch code 3178.
Pataks has initiated the recall on a precautionary basis.
The company has published product recall notices in national newspapers, explaining consumers the reason behind the withdrawal and actions to be taken if they have bought the affected product.
No other Patak's products are known to be affected.
Those who have purchased the implicated product have been advised not to eat it and instead return it to the place of purchase.
