Automobile manufacturing division of Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI), Subaru Canada has launched the new 2015 Subaru Outback mid-size sports utility vehicle (SUV).
The 2015 Subaru Outback is offered in four-cylinder and six-cylinder engine options, both of which will come with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and paired with a six-speed manual transmission as well as optional Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Subaru Outback 2.5i is powered by a double-overhead-cam (DOHC) FB series 2.5L BOXER engine that produces an output of 175hp and peak torque of 174Nm.
A 3.6L BOXER engine in the 3.6R Limited Package of the 2015 Subaru Outback will deliver an output of 256hp and 247Nm peak torque, while the vehicle will be equipped with Incline Start Assist and the electronic Hill Holder System.
The 2015 Outback 2.5i CVT models are said to offer fuel consumption of 7.1L per 100km combine, while the six-cylinder engine has estimated fuel economy ratings 9.5L per 100 km combined.
Features of the mid-size SUV include a 10-way power driver seat, dual-stage heated rear seats, auto-dimming side view mirrors with approach lighting and a power tailgate
The new Outback has safety features such as Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, steering-responsive fog lamps and a standard reverse camera.
