GE Lighting Upgraded The Tower Bridge Lighting System

GE Lighting Completes Tower Bridge Refurb

GE Lighting has upgraded the Tower Bridge lighting system in time for the Queen's Jubilee celebrations and the London 2012 Olympics

GE Lighting's extensive refurbishment of parts of the lighting on London's Tower Bridge has been officially unveiled.

More than 2km of GE Lighting's Tetra Contour architectural LED lighting has been used on the bridge's stone and metal work in addition to 90W LED Floodlights and a range of other lamps and fixtures.

The upgrade includes a control system that enables changes to the mood of the lighting to suit different occasions.

The new lighting system has been completed in time for the Queen's Jubilee celebrations and the London 2012 Olympics.

London Mayor Boris Johnson said:"This city is going to be watched by the world and this grand old lady of London,one of our best loved landmarks,is now set to play a sparkling role in the celebrations.But what's more,this is another lasting legacy stemming from the Games which will benefit the city for decades."
