Changan Recalled 12492 CS35 Vehicles

Due to oil emulsification problems, Changan Automobile voluntarily recalled Changan CS35 produced from June 3, 2012 to January 2013 for 12492 cars.

On January 14 this year, Changan Automobile received one case of user complaints, said it purchased CS35 had oil emulsified phenomenon. After investigation, they confirmed that the CS35 crankcase ventilation system piping may prone to water vapor in oil and gas condensate oil emulsion risk when at low temperature, especially in winter wet cold areas for a long time idling or short mileage. The emulsified oil’s lubrication declined, if continued running which may cause engine damage.

In addition, according to the feedback of oil flap emulsion, Changan Automobile released a program to enhance CS35 engine’s compartment insulation capability, on the 31st of this month they will provide free maintenance service for users.

In addition to the active recall and free upgrade, Changan Automobile also committed that all CS35 sold before March 31, its engine parts warranty will be extended for one year or 20,000 km.
