The Pioneer reported that a 2 day workshop on effective implementation of Bar and Rod Mill project of Bhilai Steel Plant of Steel Authority of India Limited was recently concluded
The Valedictory session was chaired by Mr SB Jagdale ED incharge of projects of BSP. Mr SK Pradhan ED project was the Guest of Honour. Also present on the occasion were Mr Uma Raman GM I/c (Mills), Mr S M Kanhe DGM I/c (Projects) and Mr H Roy Choudhury DGM (HRD).
Mr Jagdale said “It is the prime responsibility of everyone present to ensure that the BRM project is completed while taking care of quality, safety and economic feasibility. It is up to our team to overcome problems that have been discussed with our shared knowledge and expertise.”
Mr Pradhan stated that the workshop was a good platform for all stakeholders to discuss and deliberate upon strengths, weaknesses and concerns about the BRM Project.
Mr PK Sinha Roy, DGM (MECON) urged everyone present to own the BRM project.
Mr Simone Puzzi, Project Manager from Danieli said that the workshop gave a good picture of the current status of the project and gave us guidance to meet our target in the future.
Mr Deepankar Biswas, DGM (Fives Stein) said the brainstorming in different sessions will help us in moving forward along with the help of suggestions and guidelines that have emerged from the workshop.
Mr Sanjay Sharma, DGM (BBM), BSP said that the technical presentations were highly informative.
Mr Uma Raman, GM I/c (Mills) said that the workshop created a platform for better understanding amongst all concerned and emphasised the role of Operations Personnel in facilitating project completion and take over.
