Audi Australia has announced runout pricing for selected models in the outgoing Audi A3 range ahead of the introduction of the new-generation hatch in May.
The Audi A3 1.4 TFSI S tronic and 1.8 TFSI S tronic Sportback models and the 1.8 TFSI S tronic Cabriolet now come standard with the Technik package. Previously a $1950 option, the pack adds xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, Audi’s Navigation system plus, and a music interface that allows integration of portable music players.
Additionally, all Audi A3 models, including the three above, benefit from a $5000 rebate, which is applied at the point of sale from all dealerships across the country.
The rebate effectively reduces the price of the A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI S tronic to $36,200 before on-road costs, representing a $6950 saving with the Technik pack factored in.
The 1.8 TFSI S tronic costs $45,600 in Sportback guise and $52,150 as a Cabriolet – prices that are reduced to $40,600 and $47,150 respectively with the rebate applied.
Australian Audi A3 Sportback sales fell 29 per cent last year to 1108 units as buyers cooled on the nine-year-old second-generation model and held out for the all-new third-gen hatch.
