The Week reported that lighter,stronger and with new levels of refinement,the fourth generation Range Rover reinforced its position as the world's most well honed luxury SUV at the automotive division of Mohsin Haider Darwish's unveiling held at Barr al Jissah Resort&Spa last week.
The new Range Rover's evolution,especially the all aluminium monocoque construction and the plush leather interiors.The new Range Rover is the world's first SUV to have an aluminium monocoque,resulting in 39%t weight reduction,or 420kg,from its steel-bodied predecessors.Overall,the lightweight aluminium platform delivers significant enhancements in performance and agility,along with a notable change in fuel economy and CO2 emissions.
Land Rover was originally conceived in 1948 and the first Range Rover arrived in1970.The gulf region was one of our first export markets,not just in the region,but the whole world.It played a pivotal role in several areas in the development of nations here,from setting up institutions and infrastructure to government and military uses.Gradually,there was a very strong demand for luxury and off-road capabilities in vehicles and Land Rover delivered to its customers.We have taken everything we know about luxury in the cabin,on-road and off-road capabilities,and that has resulted in this,the new fourth generation Range Rover.
In addition to the strong and rigid lightweight body,new aluminium front and rear chassis architecture has been developed with completely re-engineered four-corner air suspension.While the luxurious ride has been retained,the vehicle's handling and agility have been significantly improved.The new suspension architecture delivers flatter,more confident cornering,with a natural and intuitive steering feel.The Range Rovers are also almost entirely customisable,so customers can create bespoke interiors suited to their need.
