Scania Has Extended Engine Line with Truck Engines.

Swedish commercial vehicle manufacturer Scania has expanded its engine line with the launch of two new Euro 6-certified, 13L biodiesel truck engines.

The two engines, six-cylinder 13L 450HP and 490HP, can run on any diesel blend, up to 100 percent biodiesel. They feature SCR and EGR aftertreatment systems.

The 450HP engine produces 350 Nm of torque from 1,000rpm and the 490HP offers 2,550 Nm of torque from 1,000rpm.

Earlier in October 2013, the truck maker launched two versions of five-cylinder, 9L biodiesel engines with 320HP and 360HP.

The Swedish vehicle manufacturer also launched a new truck engine, 730HP V8, which will join its Euro 6 engines.

Claimed to be the most powerful Euro 6 truck engine, the 730HP V8 incorporates numerous new features and services from Scania.
