Audi has announced that the new Q7 e-tron 3.0 TDI quattro will be available for booking for its European customers from March.
In Germany, the hybrid SUV will be available at a starting price is €80,500.
Audi Q7 e-tron 3.0 TDI quattro is the first plug-in hybrid to feature a V6 TDI (Turbocharged Direct Injection).
The 3 liter turbocharged six cylinder diesel engine gives a maximum power output of 275kW (373hp) and a torque of 700Nm (516 lb-ft).
The SUV can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.2 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 230km/h.
In the electric mode, the Q7 e-tron offers a range of up to 54km at a top speed of 135km/h.
Its lithium-ion battery can be charged from a regular wall socket and it can store up to 17.3kWh of charge.
According to Audi, Q7 e-tron consumes only 1.8 liters of diesel for every 100km.
This SUV is also equipped with a range of features such as LED headlights, MMI navigation plus with MMI all-in-touch and the Audi Virtual cockpit.
Apart from this, the SUV has a high resolution TFI screen which will display graphics and special views such as power meter, energy flow of the hybrid system, range and charge of the battery.
In Germany, the standard items that come with the SUV include a charging cable for public charging stations and a charging cable that not only has power connectors for domestic and industrial sockets, it also contains a graphic display.
The design of electrical system features a new tow-phase charging system which can charge the battery through an industrial socket in just two and half hours.
Along with this, Audi Q7 can connect to the internet using high speed LTE standard. With internet connectivity, the SUV charging process can be remotely controlled using a smartphone with Audi MMI connect app and also access data pertaining to previous journeys.
