True Foods is recalling certain date codes of its Steak Diane Sauce as the product contains barley, which is not mentioned on the labeling, according to the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA).
The product subject to recall is TRUEfoods Steak Diane Sauce of 250g bags, 250g pots, 2.5kg bags featuring all date codes between 11 August and 2 October 2013.
FSA has advised consumers intolerant to barley or gluten not to consume the product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
True Foods is recalling the affected products and has issued a point-of-sale notice for display in stores that sell the product.
In addition, the company will contact the relevant allergy support organizations, which will inform their members about the withdrawal.
No other True Foods products are affected in the recall.
