Kia Motors global sales for passenger cars, recreational vehicles (RVs) and commercial vehicles increased 13.9% to 211,088 units in January 2013, compared to corresponding period last year.
In January 2013, sales in general markets increased 4.1% to 39,229 units, sales in Korea rose 6% to 36,250 units, sales in North America increased by 1.9% to 39,975 units, Europe sales were up by 6.3% to 38,059 units and China sales increased by 50.3% to 57,575 units.
Kia Motors posted the C-segment Cerato sales of 33,940 units for January this year, the B-segment Rio and Sorento mid-size CUV follow with 35,860 and 14,881 units sold, respectively.
The company said that the Sportage compact CUV sales were 30,565 units for the month, while the D-segment Optima sedan reported sales of 19,962 units.
